After the public presentation of the documentary in a cinema in Palermo on 15. December the price giving ceremony took place in the evening of the 16. December in the Teatro Politeama. A few hundred invited guests followed the spectacle.
More than twenty films had been nominated in one or more of the 14 categories (6x Short Film & 6x Feature Film). „Africa11“ had been nominated in three categories (best screenplay, best foreign film and best film).
After the presentation of some cuts of the nominated films the winners were announced. „Africa11“ was awarded with the "Paladino d’oro" in the category „best screenplay“.
FairPlay-vidc cooperates since a few years with NAFA e.g. in the framework of events or the FARE action week. In Austria a part of the documentary was already presented during the Euro 2008 in ORF and in the Top Cinema. A short part of the film can be watched on youtube (see link below). FairPlay-vidc supported the NonPlus Filmproduktion at the presentation of the film in Palermo.
